I had an idea for a couple of new units:
-Mechanized infantry:
Gains bonuses vs. Armor and vs. garrisoned units (so something along the line of +2 attack to cities) but is weaker against regular infantry and marines
-Fighter Planes:
Can spot sentry planes and gain bonuses against aircraft, but much weaker vs. other unit types
-Transport Helicopters:
Can only carry infantry, but can carry up to 10 of them, instead of the 3 offered by current air transports
-Attack Helicopters:
Gain bonuses when stacked with infantry and tanks, weaker general defense, G. warfare gives them stealth
-Ranged Attackers
Something like mortar crews, or artillery, or giving battleships a ranged option
And additionally, add city upgrades, and you can buy one per city (like building walls to boost defense, or building factories to reduce production cost, or sensors to detect stealth, Banks to boost economy, etc.
