What are the tournaments?

I don't know if I missed something, but I haven't found anything that explains what the tournaments are or how to participate.

Tournaments are a series of games based on a competition with participants who fight in settings set by the host of the tournament in order to be number one and win a trophy or any other relevant prize the host offers.

You can participate by simply posting you want to take part.Most of the times though tournaments require a rank limit which usually is 7+.
