The Punisher 2.0 -- Thank You to Croat

Hey everyone!

However I personally want to say thank you to all our donators, players, and staff who made this great event possible. Thank you!

Of course, none of this would have happened without the contribution of one person in particular. Croat was humble in his summary and did not give himself the credit he deserves for this hugely successful tournament. I hope to fix that here

Croat came to me with the idea of doing a sequel to the original Punisher tourney he had hosted a few years ago... he wanted to do something even bigger, better, and more exciting for atWar. Here we see the result:

• The BIGGEST tournament atWar has ever seen
  atWar has never had a tournament of 128 players before. Naysayers said it wasn't possible, but Croat believed we could achieve it, and we did!
  
  
• The highest ProtoCoin award ever
  Thanks to our many donators, we reached the biggest PC prize pool ever on atWar -- over 36000 ProtoCoins!
  
  
• Possibly the the most well run tourney in atWar history
  atWar has had many successful tourneys, but I must say Croat did an amazing job keeping this tourney moving along, chasing down players to play their matches, and many other things. It's not just me saying that, I had multiple people tell me this was the best run tourney on atWar they'd ever seen.
  

I feel that we accomplished something really special with this tournament. It brought so many players together in a way that hasn't happened for a long time (if ever). Certainly the final was an exciting event to watch... it gave us a spike of traffic that was the 2nd biggest number of users online EVER in atWar history (it almost broke our all-time record from 2 weeks ago!).

None of this would have been possible without Croat -- his idea, his tireless effort to make it happen, and his determination to make it a success. So on behalf of myself, and the entire atWar community, I want to say:



Furthermore, in recognition of this achievement, and the countless hours of effort given to make this happen, I hereby confer the atWar Medal of Honor on our friend Croat:



Henceforth may he be known as the Honorable Mr. Croat

This. I've hosted tourneys before and played in others. I've never seen anyone followup so thoroughly with matches. Especially with a 128 player bracket. He must've been online for hours a day to keep on top of that.
