The rise of tournaments

Huge thanks to those players that are hosting and actively promoting tournaments - It's great to see activity in this area of the game.

The last tournament to finish was the Fourth Master of East, which ended around 29.09.2017 - before that, we've had more than 4 months without any tournament ending successfully.

It's been a while since. Hopefully the new tournaments also becomes successful.

Yea such a disaster. The strats being at the best level of balance since the game began. Improving ironfist nc ra and imp. Making lb and gc relevant after both were nerfed to shit. Even making hw half decent for those who like to play it in spite of believing it should be deleted. That guy was such an asshole.

Remember clovis when you claimed I was the I referring to you all of my posts. Yea that was a good joke wasnt it. Strike 3!

Really, if you want a conversation about Structured competition we could do this.

1. Make CW seasons monthly.
2. Make Duel seasons monthly.
3. W/L ratio vs users
4. ELO 3v3/2v2
5. Have official tournaments for each month (these should be only ones with trophies and bring more prestige)

For Example.

Jan. Master of East
Feb. Duel tournament
Mar. Master of West
Apr: FFA Deathmatch Tournament
May: Mid Rank tournament.
June: Top 200 invitational.
July: 2v2 Tournament
Aug: Ancient Tournament
Sep: Custom Map Tournament
Oct; Multi Skill
Nov: Eurasia
Dec: GRAND AtWar

I disagree with this one, then there won't be enough time to let the skill balance out the farming. Also, this means that an absence for a single week will kill an entire season.

I think there should be an official list of trophies, both competitive and Non and what needs to be done to attain them.

Actually, the thread was more of a congratule and encourage the job that players like you did by hosting these awesome tourneys (IMO, you guys deserve some sort of award). However you've some fair points which I'd love to see in the game. I'm sure we've had a lot of discussions in the matter.

I'll side with whatever brings more activity into the area. If hosting several tournaments multiple times a year will bring more activity, then let it be. The game's not really in a situation where it can sacrifice activity for quality atm.

For once we agree.

I think we should be optimistic, there is actually very good activity on the team game and duel front compared to say 3 years ago (though admittedly the same players for the most part) I think its time to diversify competition and make it the backbone of the game again,
