Hello everyone,
As some of you may know, I am colorblind and so are other atWar players. Many times I find myself wondering which city, country, or stack belongs to which player. Normally, one would only need to see what color it is and connect the color to a person. However, being colorblind makes this task very difficult as many colors look strikingly similar and therefore, I and others are unable to identify who owns the city, units, etc. and we are then forced to ask other players. While playing a game there is no problem, as I am able to scroll over the city or unit and can see the name of the person who owns it. As a spectator I do not have this option. My idea would be to allow spectators to scroll over units and cities to see who owns it. Only the name of the person would be necessary to display, not which units are present, etc.

What are your thoughts about this idea? It wouldn't affect the outcome of the game in anyway as units are not being displayed and everyone else can already tell who owns the stack.

Thank you

yea I knew someone will ask I should have elaborated...

When you are spectating or playing a game there is a display setting at the top right corner of the screen, there you can turn off/on highlighted country names, and few other options that I don't remember exactly.

Why make it as an option? Because instead of forcing a change on every one, it will be comfortable for both color blinds and to these who are not bothered with the current situation to have this idea if implemented as an option

So just a follow up question, do you mean you want map makers to decide if spectators have the option or do you mean spectators would be in control of having this option or not?

No
There is a setting button in the game
You can find it when you are spectating or playing, it has been there since beta

and what I suggested is to add your idea as a new option in the map display setting

ohhhh, i thought you meant it would be an option for a host for whether or not spectators are allowed to see the name or not.
