Why does the majority of people get upset when terrorists attack the west?, Even though acts of terrorism happen every day and alot in the Eastern world?

Is it because they don't care, don't have a similar "Culture"/"Backround" as them or any other reasons?

Also, Columna Durruti thinks followers of Islam are a "Race"

You can not be racist towards a religion or religious followers.

why not?

Because a religion is not a race.

Why do we have the word "Race"? If it means nothing?

Ideology, colonialism, post-colonialism, imperialism... pick!

I'm guessing more so ideology? Couldn't be colonialism or Imperialism that we "have" the word "Race" from. More so on Nationality and Skin tone.

Not because of your religion however. Satanists are not a "race", Buddhists are not a "race" Hindus are not a "race", other pagans are not a "race", Christians are not a "race" and Muslims are not a "race.
They are all "followers" of a belief system, which does not make them "a different race" but instead, a religious follower.

What even is your goal? You want to be able to be racist without facing any backlash, due to the word "racist" losing power? That's not going to happen buddy.

That's not my goal, buddy...

Columna thinks religion is a protected race. By saying anything mean to that religion, he would call it racist instead of discrimination. Leading to me making the other thread.

I'm aware being racist or saying things in a discriminating way is bad.
You cannot be racist towards a religion, but you can be discriminating towards a religion.

Same difference. You just want to be able to stereotype an entire religion without being faced with the stigma of being called a racist.

... subject to racism!
Not talking about race; never talked about race. I'm saying that "racism" has actually NOTHING to do with race, but with other social, economic, cultural, etc. issues.

Yes. You are talking about race.
You locked my other fourm for a "Racist title" for calling followers of Islam "Muzzies" you can not be racist towards religion.

Race is about race, we've already discussed this, if it's about social and economic issues them co-workers are a race, we on this site are our own race or people in sports clubs are a race.

I wouldn't have minded if you locked that thread on the case of "Discrimination", but you didn't, you done it because of "Race"

It's not the same difference.
And yes. That is what I'm saying. I can't be Racist if I wasn't offendeding a race. Muslims are not a race, Christians are not, a race Pagans are not a race and cult followers are not a race.

Religion is not a race, it's a belief system.

Cant believe you guys are actualy discussing about the definition of the word ''racist'' like a bunch of autists.

Sure most people mean discrimination/xenophobia/ethnocentrism by it, but its just what people generally call a person who says discriminating stuff. You guys are reaching too far...

Hey man, I can't be Racist if I call a priest a pedophile or a dumbfuck for following an invisible man. I can't be a racist if I call a Muslim a pedophile or a muzzie.

I can be discriminating and mean by saying it, but I can't be a "racist"

Islam and Christianity are not a race

Yes, semantics matter. In the US we now live in a time where anyone will label you a "racist" simply because they disagree with you. The word is beginning to lose it's meaning. So yes we need to make sure words are used correctly.

I suppose you are correct. But Deepfried isn't arguing in good faith. Though it technically isn't racist to be against a religion, sometimes people disguise racism as just being against a religion.

yes, but in this scenario, context also matters.
