I have a background image that is 6254X6285 pixels .. about 10MB .. I can upload it no problem .. but when I zoom in and out the map keeps stretching in a weird way to fit scale or for another weird ass reason ... and I am getting this message in the advanced map settings: "note that the background image will stretch to fit the map size, but the country borders will remain fixed - so they will probably not match anymore" how do I stop the map from the stretching .. I dont want it to stretch .. I want it to stay the way it is .. the way I uploaded it with those specific dimensions ...

I strongly recommend you to resize the image and then upload the background again. You'll have to start from scratch after that. Try to keep it below 5000x5000, beucase the editor doesn't handle very well huge images.

yes I resized to about 4500X4500 and its good now ... but I lost a lot of in game zooming ability .. which kinda makes the game unplayable ... I really hope there is a way around it

Map editer is crazy right now, try saving every change you make and make sure you reupload the image when you get into editor and just before you're finished
