The new zoom level destroyed once good maps. Cities that were once half and inch apart are now on top of each other. Please make the zoom level changeable. Here are some examples of what this update has caused: Strangereal Map: This: Is VERY much different from this: I know the walling problem is big but there has to be some other way

You could always just crop the default map posted in the forums, then increase the size.

The default map is 9999x5300. 9999 is the limit for size.

So crop the Americas off; you shouldn't need those for a medieval map.

This is actually Renaissance era. The Americas are absolutely needed for it.

Or reduce city and units scaling. It was fine in old Afterwind why did you change it?

Because I like complexity in my games. And they should not increase the zoom for us cartographers so we can adjust our maps to that, then revert it back.

This was addressed at our admins. I was talking about the city and unit icons that are scaling much higher in alpha and therefore appear bigger when zoomed in.

The zoom level is adapted for the map background to be as smooth as possible (ie:high res) Putting a low res background and asking for max zoom is just excuses Likewise, putting a lot of cities in a high resolution background and asking for max zoom is the same thing I understand your frustration utah, but I did warn you.... Making a bigger map and changing the units range is a better idea than small map requiring max zoom. Or not over jamming a big map already

Bleh, i am disappoint. what was the idea behind thie revert to the current games' level of zoom? to keep a lid on the size of things for processing speed?

How the hell is the default map low res? It's 9999x5300. I based my entire map on this new zoom. I can't make the map any bigger.
