PotM: January '13

2013 has started and we start with a new list of candidates for the 'Player of the Year' award 2013. The first candidate is the player of the month January 2013! We don't see everything, so if you have any suggestions for upcomming month's, feel free to give us tips! Note that players can be selected for Player of the Month multiple times in 1 year!


Player of the month January 2013; A player who posted awesome statistics, made the great maps 'Gangs of New York', 'World of Eben' and 'World of Eben II', made more awesome statistics and was very helpful throughout the game.

I think all Hugosch is saying is that we look to each month individually. If the same player stands above the rest, we won't discount him just because he previously was POTM at some point. That's what this is all about: the player who stood out for that month, period.

Exactly this. It would be unfair if we doesn't select anyone as player of the month, just because he already has been one. Its like winning a tournament, and then been disqualified for the next one because you already won. Doesn't make any sence.
We select the player that we think is best for the month. Beside's, if you look at the history of the PotM, we also sometimes selected more then 1 player for the same reason. Getting up with exactly 12players at the end of the year should not be our goal.
