When I was in school I used to have an IQ of 15. My classmates used to harass me for not being that smart. But since 2013, my life has changed. My IQ is now 195 and it increases by 5 every time I sit down on Saturday nights to watch this one show. It is called Rick and Morty. Because of that, I get all the girls and people are always comparing me to Albert Einstein, some even say that I am the cure for cancer. When the government found out that I watch Rick and Morty, they showed up to my residence and took me to a secret facility to take an exam. The exam was about explaining all the jokes in Rick and Morty and I had to answer each question in all currently spoken languages. Since I watched Rick and Morty, I didn't have any problems and I completed it in 30 minutes. The next day, I got to see the results and I passed the exam with a score of 100%. They gave me the title "Smartest Man in Existence". Guess I am out of this world.

This is correct on all counts.

The pledge of allegiance which American school children apparently memorize by rote is:

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

This implies a republic, yet still American's are convinced by media it is a democracy.

The way it was explained to me, is it's up to you - if you want to live in a democracy, act irresponsibly, accept the benefits of government (including doing what you are told) OR, take responsibility for yourself. Most people would rather believe what the television tells them, over facts they research for themselves, so as i've heard said, the lights of the Republic are on, but no one is home - they all went over to the Democracy.

Where's liberty to become separate country?

This reminds me of California accession to the Union, when 20 Americans illegally crossed the border into Mexico, raised Bear flag and declared independence of California Republic. Day later they joined USA. Ok now when we got land from ocean to ocean, no one leaves!

That's the issue, during the great depression, and the world war that followed our government did many things in the name of protecting our country and it's people, but by doing so assuming powers not granted to them by the constitution. All sorts of socialist crap was pushed through the government during that time because people where willing to give up there liberties in order to feel safe. They did the exact same thing again in 2001 to pass things such as the patroit act, and allowed the nsa to start spying on everyone. They used the same methods the nazis used to assume more power, which is to foster and create fear in order to make people willfully give up there rights to feel safe.

Problem is USA assimilated immigrants into becoming Americans, taught only english and American culture, then they let them settle wherever they want in 50 states. So you don't have problem with dissolution like USSR had (180 ethnic groups, 4 religions, 150 languages, 100 cultures). You are more like German states (same people split on more political entities).

That's the reason China didn't collapse (same ethnic group/90% same ethnic group) like the Soviet Union, but that's another story.

I'd suggest you study some political basings. The common fail the common individual commits is stating an equivalence between Republic and Democracy. They're not equivalents, because political regime is one thing, system of government is completely other stuff. Constitutionalists and their Doctrine as we call in Law and Constitutional Law widely converge on the fact that Political Regime =/= System/Form of Government. (Though I'll use System of Government)

Political Regime is essentially the way the State is organized to pursue Society's goals, it's basically how the state and its institutions are composed and how the political power (autorities, the administrators) relates and communicates with the people, the administered. It's basically how the institutions are set and the relation between the Institutions and the people, aka this is a larger spectre perspective.

System of Government is, according to the Doctrine the way and how political power relates within itself and between the powers it countains (supposing Montesquieu's separation of powers theory though), particularly how the legislative and the executive power communicate and relate to each other (since the judicial power is sacred, independent and impartial).

Political Regimes, the larger spectre can be divided in two large groups: Monarchies and Republic, showing how converging doctrine is with the actual facts.

System of Government is the inner spectre of a political regime, how, within a certain political regimme, the government is systematized, how it relates with each other. Examples of these are Parliamentarism (with its variants, but we'll use Great Britain as an example or Denmark, or Germany), Presidentialism, with USA being a model (there's more Presidentialist states in the world btw) and Semi-Presidentialism, like Portugal and France (I can explain those later if you want or if needed xd)

There's however more to it, Democracy is a system of government, it structures how political power relates to and between itself and how the people in some way can afford that, it's a system of government and not a Political regime as you are claiming indirectly by comparing democracy to a republic, there's of course many ways of conducting politics via a democratic base, as there's various types of it, like Direct Democracy and Semi-Direct (Switzerland in way) or Representatitve Democracy which we generally endorse that is submitted to the core ideas of our countries political regime.

Basically you wrongfully confused both by saying they're equvalents, they're not

You failed my entire point,

There's no Republic vs Democracy binome, there's not any possible level of comparing these two, they're different in their definitions, in their spheres and meaning. Republics can be Democratic, or be Autocratic or Autoritarian Hellraiser, just like Monarchies can be democratic like you see in Constitutional Monarchies of Europe, or can be Autoritarian Monarchies (Absolute Monarchies) like the Sultanistic regimes of the middle east, as Constitutionalist Doctrine states. This is not spinning anything however I like, it's simple academic and doctrinary findings and stipulations and ignoring them is committing a deep phalacy in the arguments defended.

Infact, you even mentioned a source of Representative Democracy, through the election of mandataries that represent the will of the people's vote, in conformity with the Election System.
I'd also admit you refer to true democracy as a Direct Democracy? That's a phalacy based on ignorance. In all democracies every individual has 1 vote and 1 vote only, except germany, where you have 2 votes, 1 for a chamber, 1 for the other. Demoliberal regimes of the 19th century were the ones where individuals didn't have equal voting power. Direct Democracy is the "true" and raw democracy, where the people take part in all major decisions cuz the Governments submit them to referendums, though this form of democracy has lots of objections such as the impossibility of repeatedly hold referendums cuz of its cost.

I'm not spinning anything, all I did was debunk you with Constitutional Doctrine that's very much consensualized in the area of Constitutional Law.
