Thats their job...to kill infs if u havent noticed they gain +2att vs infs and +1 att vs milita they also have the worst defence so rushing helis with tanks and bombers is ur best option (helis have same defence as milita)

ds helis defense actually have the same as militia, or 5 (wow thats just terrible!) how interesting that its come to that no one remembers the DS buff. DS was fine just a year ago.. helis attack is fine if u ask me, the defense needs to go back to 4, and the militia range needs to go back to normal. Heres what i suggst:

Helis
Attack: same
Defense: -1
Crit: -1

Militia
Attack: same
Defense: same
Range: -1

I feel that if we take a crit point away from helis it can do away with some of those crazy rolls that helis seem to get, but keeping the attack will still keep the cultish appeal to playing the strat. Getting rid of the defense would mean that players cant just simply rush balkans with helis as ukraine, because now they cant really hold them that well. This would lead to an increase in thought and strategical thinking as players will have to genuinely think about where and when to rush, and not just rush anything and everything with a gray star/circle on it.

if milita gets -1 range nobody would play it,it has 0 use outside eu+ 10k,have you seen anyone play 50k ds? no cus they always get destroyed by tanks and bombers, last thing it needs is nerf,look how RA ended after it got it

thats obviously false considering people still played it before the boost so...

and ra was overnerfed.. all im saying is revert ds back to the way it was......... no one can read apparently

RA war nerfed because Eagle and Laochra couldnt beat it in europe 10k,or hadnt found a way how to,so instead of rynig to find a way to beat it,they prefered to lick admin ass and cry in forums.RA wasnt by any means overpowered.And after all that dck sucking admins decided to nerf it and made absolute crap.Getting you bankrupt turn 4 and getting no extra attack.

lao and eagle werent the only ones having issues, i played ra and it was quite op, didnt lose a single game i used it. there were plenty of others asking for an ra nerf.. in fact, if you recall, the majority of people did want it nerfed, so it was not just eagle and lao as u claim.

proof,i can fin threats where lao and eagle asked for RA and b,itz nerf,and the majority of people in comments were against it.

quite the memory u got there..

plus the people who were against it were people who liked the fact that it was a 1 unit strategy.. i wonder if u remember the stats lmao

It is and i explained why earlier in this thread. Regular duelists will be the main players who will experience this imbalance, especially as ds becomes more and more popular. Instead though we get retired players, ds lovers and genuine noobs fighting for ds to remain as it is.

So guys i have a suggestion.Why lets buff AAs a little bit? Maybe -10 or -20 cost and +1 range? That should help imp and PD against DS wihout fucking up DS.

still doesn't solve expensive strats vs ds, it also changes the gameplay of ds in an undesirable way, ds needs defence nerfed.

the proposed changes are horrendous over a non-issue. Don't even go over the AA idea as it will undermine other strategies as well.

The fact that (imo) best east player atm (laochra) agrees with nerf, and that players who do not even play (chess, waffel, clovis) disagree tells more than is needed.

It's the only strategy that got stronger after city bonus was apply. the infantry lost defence city to nerf it after admin implemented the city bonus. gw got stronger because city bonus was reactivated. it was 5 defence but became 6 defence with city bonus (referring to militia defence)

I'm surprised at the talk of DS being too strong...I have played it about 3 or 4 times, and the defense was terrible, particularly against planes. Trying to cross an ocean with helis full of marines was a crap shoot at best!

Helis are not all that strong, overall. If you'll note, the CC remains the standard 5...it's only +2A and +1D, where most strats usually do +2CC to the preferred units.

If you think that helis are too strong against Infantry, then the better thing to do would be to reduce the defense nerf on Infantry. The standard Militia have -1D vs. helis, and the standard Infantry have -2D. If it's too much, then remove the nerf on militia and reduce the infantry nerf to -1D.

Because of the expense and weakness of helis, my clones set the unit with +1CC to try to balance things out a bit, overall. Now that the cost has been reduced to 170, I might return it to 5CC...not sure, yet. Right now, it's still at 6CC.
